Campeche 2024

Campeche, MX
Lord willing RMS will be traveling to Campeche, MX in March. We will be working on a parsonage for a pastor of a local Reformed Church. This project was recommended to RMS by Esau Reyes, the MINTS Hispanic Coordinator. (mints.edu). We are excited to add this trip to our 2024 Ministry Development Trips!
Work Projects
The local Reformed Church in Campeche is in need of a new parsonage. The church plans to build it on their grounds. RMS is looking for 10-12 volunteers to join us, both skilled and unskilled laborers. For skilled laborers, we are looking for volunteers with experience in block laying, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
Schedule
March 5: Arrive Merida, Mexico via air then board a train to Campeche
March 6: Workday
March 7: Workday
March 8: Workday
March 9: Work at site and relaxation at nearby Playa
March 10: Day of worship and rest
March 11: Workday
March 12: Workday
March 13: Return home
On one of the workdays, we may take an afternoon, as a group, to see some of the culture and beauty of this area of Mexico. This cost is included in your registration costs, however, souvenirs and other personal incidentals for this day will be the responsibility of each participant.
Cost
$800 plus airfare to and from Campeche (RMS will arrange air travel if desired). Your $800 is for the purchase of materials and supplies for the building projects, food & lodging, and ground transportation (including the train tickets to and from Merida). This amount does not include your flights to and from Campeche or any incidentals or souvenirs you may want to purchase while there.
accommodations
There is an apartment and rooms at a Hostel near the worksite where the group will be staying. Some of the team will be in the hostel the remaining will be in the apartment.
