Soli Deo Gloria!

By God's Grace RMS is growing!

Over the past few years, RMS has secured equipment and trailers for our Disaster Response efforts. The past two plus years we have been leasing a space to house these items. The space where we currently lease also has two small offices where the Administrative Director, and the Administrative Assistant work. It is a nice place in a great location, and we are grateful to God for allowing this to be a place we call home. However, as we begin to hire more employees and acquire new equipment, we need to look for a larger place.

Our initial desire is to build our own facility secured through donations so that we can eliminate our lease payment keeping that overhead down. However, our desire doesn’t stop there! With your help, we want to construct a facility that will service other like-minded ministries giving them low to no cost ‘lease payments’ while giving them a permanent place to call home. Ministries like Reformed Fellowship, Inc., the Institute for Reformed Biblical Counseling – IRBC, and other solid, Reformed ministries in the W. Michigan area. The arrangement for these ministries would be as follows, they would only be responsible for their portion of the utilities (based upon the square footage used), copies used on the shared copier, and their phone service (if needed). All other expenses would be covered by RMS and its support given by member churches and individuals. The building would also provide a home for visiting missionaries who need a place to work.

Preliminary budget costs which include the land and other amenities have been figured by a local general contractor not to exceed $800,000. This price may vary depending on the land costs and if there are any discounts given by contractors and volunteers. Presently we are looking for one-to-two-acre piece of land in the greater Hudsonville/Jenison area where we can construct the building (see below). We are also looking for monetary and in-kind donations to make this desire a reality. If you would like to make a tax-deductible gift, want to give of your talents when construction begins, or if you know of a piece of land near this area of West Michigan, and the owner might be open to selling or gifting it to this cause, please contact us rmsbuilding@rms.org.

If you know of a ministry that would benefit in having a space like this to use for their kingdom efforts, direct them to contact Rob Brinks. We’d love to talk about this!
