Dominican Republic 2024

January 11-18, 2024

Sabana Grande de Boya, DR

RMS will be traveling to the Ministry Center in Sabana Grande de Boya. Dr. Neal Hegeman, began a Ministry Center, planted churches, as well as the Christian School here. RMS has been traveling to Dominican Republic for a number of years and have helped the local people build churches and parsonages as well as maintain the Ministry Center.

Work Projects

This year has multiple projects tentatively scheduled for the volunteers to do. We hope to begin remodeling the ministry center to make accommodations for an office that will be used by the local pastors. It will house a library, copy center, and fellowship room to hold meetings as well as a place used for training of office-bearers.

$750 plus airfare to and from Santo Domingo Cusco (RMS will arrange air travel if desired). Your $750 is for the purchase of materials and supplies for the building projects, food & lodging at the Ministry Center, and ground transportation. This amount does not include your flights to and from Santo Domingo or any incidentals or souvenirs you may want to purchase while there.

accommodations

We will be staying in the Ministry Center, Sabana Grande de Boya, Dominican Republic. The Ministry Center has rustic sleeping arrangements where we will be sleeping on bunk beds with mosquito netting surrounding us. There is no "hot" water for showering; however, you may find that an air temperature shower after a hot day will be refreshing. If asked, the family will do laundry for you, so consider that when you are packing your bags. There are also stores around to purchase items that you may have forgotten
