NOTE: This trip takes place in elevations that exceed 10,000 ft above sea level. Those with compromised health conditions should consider the risks before registering for this trip.
RMS has been working in the Cusco region of Peru since 2010 when Dr. Neal Hegeman (MINTS Theological Seminary) presented a proposal to build a home to be used as a MINTS regional Study Center. Since then, RMS has been able to assist in the construction of many churches in several villages in the Andes mountains that surround Cusco. This year is a local church building across town from where it all began.
Cost
The trip cost is $900.00 USD, (plus airfare to and from Cusco - CUZ [RMS will arrange air travel if desired]). This cost includes food, lodging, ground transportation and day away tickets. Please note: This amount does not include your flights to and from Cusco, Peru, nor does it cover any incidentals or souvenirs you may want to purchase while there.
Work Projects
We will be helping with the construction of a new church building for the congregation of Agua Buena, located in the city of Cusco. The plan is for us to help with the construction of the block walls.
Packing List
A detailed packing list will be sent to each participant prior to the trip.
Accommodations
We will be staying in the apartments above the home of Javier and Sylvia Rivera, located in the neighborhood of San Antonio, Cusco. The apartments have electricity, bathrooms, hot showers, and wifi.
Javier and his family will be providing all our meals throughout the week.
