Knowing God more intimately: Learning by the Word of God
WE STAND ON HIS WORD: We are rooted in Biblical Truth as expressed in the Confessions (Three Forms of Unity, Westminster Standards and the Ecumenical Creeds).
WE PRAY: We are always aware that Jesus warned His disciples, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 5:5c) Prayer is relying on God’s power to transform ourselves, our covenant youth (community) and the broader mission community in which we are called to serve.
WE RESPOND: Knowing that the fields are ripe for harvesting, we seek to encourage and prepare laborers to be sent out to the mission field for the honor and glory of God.
Growing to maturity in Christ: Living after the example of Jesus Christ
BY EQUIPPING: We will seek to encourage, develop and equip our youth (community) for going out into the mission field by discovering and developing their individual gifts.
BY GOOD STEWARDSHIP: We will practice good use of our time, talents and resources to promote our mission endeavors both at home and around the world.
Going out into our communities and the world: Leading by the Holy Spirit
TO SERVE: We will aggressively give of ourselves to lovingly meet the needs of our missionaries, our church planters and others by serving them as Jesus loved – unconditionally and sacrificially.
TO REACH OUT: As Christ’s Ambassadors in this world, we will share our faith with those that have not heard or responded to the good news of God’s Word. We will consistently advance the Gospel of Christ in the lives of others by meeting the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of those about us.
TO LOOK AHEAD: We endeavor in the development and constant evaluation of our mission opportunities to seek to discover what God is calling us to be and to do. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord – Plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
